Vegan Caesar Salad Dressing

It's cheesy. It's bacon-y. It's vegan!

Caesar Salad was my absolute favorite salad as a child. What's not to like? It's cheesy, it's bacon-y...and crispy croutons!

If a vegan cheesy bacon-y caesar salad seems impossible, it is...but a secret ingredient makes it possible and easy. I've been working with my chef client/friend, Lucas to launch his new Smart Seasoning, a blend of nutritional yeast, dulse seaweed, and other incredibly good for you ingredients so you're adding umami while enhancing health all in one effortless shake. I just love this superfood condiment.

You can get your hands on a jar (or ten) online, or just use three tablespoons of nutritional yeast and 1/2 tsp of salt for the recipe below.

Vegan Caesar Salad Dressing

Vegan Caesar Salad Dressing

🥗 1/2 cup Tahini

🥗 3 tbsp fresh lemon juice

🥗 1 tsp apple cider vinegar

🥗 1 tsp dijon mustard

🥗 1 clove garlic

🥗 3 tbsp Smart Seasoning

🥗 1/3 cup cold water

Blend all of the above. An immersion blender makes this a breeze.

Use less water, and you have a delicious dip for veggies!

I put together a list of my must-have ingredients on Instagram.

If you're unfamiliar, dulse (rhymes with "pulse") is a red algae that grows on the northern coasts of the Atlantic and Pacific Oceans. I like to add dulse to the most random things. It adds a wonderful umami to eggs, potatoes...basically anytime you might use bacon, try dulse instead. Like all edible seaweed, dulse is very good for you: fiber, protein, vitamins, trace minerals, healthy fatty acids, and antioxidants!
