Vegan, creamy, nutty, and no added sugar, yet sweet enough to hit the spot.
I made this one day, after missing the version at Michael Solomonov’s Goldie too much. When I looked up the recipe for a Salted Tahini Milkshake, I was appalled by how much sugar the recipe called for! 😱
This edit is a fantastic way to use over-ripe bananas (naturally sweet).
Also, the coconut milk that we usually buy is not unsweetened, so that's probably why we don't need to add sweetener. If you do feel like you want it sweeter, go for it!
Sometimes I add frozen blueberries or strawberries. I prefer to use frozen berries to adding plain ice, which of course, is another natural sweetener.
SALTED TAHINI BANANA MILKSHAKE
300 ml of plant based milk
1-2 bananas
3 tbsp tahini
1 tsp of Smart Seasoning (or salt to taste)
Blend on high speed until creamy and supersmooth. Makes 2, in theory 😉
If you don't have overripe bananas on hand, you can still make a Salted Tehina Milkshake with just frozen fruit.
SALTED TAHINI BERRY MILKSHAKE
300 ml of plant based milk
0.5 cups of frozen berries
3 tbsp tahini
1 tsp of Smart Seasoning (or salt to taste)
1 tsp of honey
1 tbsp of chia seeds (optional)
